For Conservation Professionals
Our professional development programs are a crucial source for continuing education for conservation professionals. We established an endowment fund to support these programs with the support of The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and contributions from individuals. Additional sources support some programs, as credited within the individual program portals.

In anticipation of the joint AIC-CAC 2026 Meeting in Montreal, please join us for a lecture by Leib Celnik, Doctoral Candidate at the Department of History of Science and Technology at Johns Hopkins University, that looks at the history of art conservation in Canada and the United States. AIC Vice President Abed Haddad will moderate.

The AIC Sustainability Committee in conjunction with the UK-based Institute of Conservation (ICON) is excited to announce our upcoming webinar with Marcus Knight of BeGreenAI (www.begreenai.com), who will be discussing sustainable practices of AI-use in relation to the conservation and cultural heritage community. AIC's Paintings Specialty Group invites you to join their Beva 371 reformulaton project update on the studies conducted on the traditional solvent-based version of the optimized formula, in comparison to the original and current blend. Panelists also introduced two solvent-free forms: pre-blended pellets and an open-weave non-woven fabric of (at least) two different densities.
