Ask a Conservator Day 2024 Information Session

Ask a Conservator Day is an opportunity to spread awareness of our field and showcase the depth of knowledge that conservators hold. In the past we’ve called for participation from conservation professionals across the field, and as we build upon the success of the event, we want to extend the opportunity to be more involved in the lead-up to Ask a Conservator Day 2024 through our ambassador program. Ambassadors help us amplify the message about Ask a Conservator Day throughout the field as well as to their wider networks.

Learn about our ambassador program and how to participate in Ask a Conservator Day and discuss ideas and questions about participating with FAIC Outreach Manager Katelin Lee and our colleagues at Resnicow and Associates.

Ambassadors help us amplify the message about Ask a Conservator Day throughout the field as well as to wider networks. At a topline level, ambassadors can do all or some of the below: - Participate in Ask a Conservator Day 2024, and possibly add a new element to your activities. A menu of ideas of creative and engaging ways to participate is available here. Take a look to find what options work best for you or your organization! - Encourage your network to participate. This can be as simple as bringing up Ask a Conservator Day in conversation or mentioning Ask as Conservator Day in any talks you give (as appropriate) for colleagues, students, and the public. - Post early on your social channels about Ask a Conservator Day. We encourage everyone to post on social in the days before, and of course during, Ask a Conservator Day. The posts we’d ask you to make as an ambassador—and we help with templates—will build excitement for the upcoming celebration. - Develop a blog post on your past experiences on Ask a Conservator Day with a call to action to those in the field to participate this year.
